Help, My venue won't allow confetti!

Venues that won't allow confetti, biodegradable confetti & the best alternatives to confetti

It's a cry made by couples when planning to tie the knot - only to discover confetti is banned at their ideal venue.

We hear this all too often and try out best to work with our brighter than life customers. After all, all they want is the perfect photo of the first kiss or recessional to celebrate their first moments as a married couple. Is that really too hard? It doesn't have to be.

Why venues may not want wedding confetti on site:

Metallic or mylar confetti is for indoor use only

Almost every outdoor venue have a blanket ban on the use of mylar, or metallic confetti - and rightly so! We note on every product pages when product is acceptable for outdoor use or restricted to indoor based on its ability to break down (biodegradable) or cause harm to the local environment.

Paper Confetti may be allowed based on venue discretion

While our standard paper confetti is biodegradable, it may take a few rainfalls or a few weeks to break down. Our paper confetti is made from an extremely light weight tissue paper and will break down faster than toilet paper, or paper towels, however it may take anywhere from a couple days to a few weeks. Some venues may allow this as it is non toxic and won't harm the environment, however it may remain a slight eye sore for a few days, or until they mow the area.

Eco Rice Paper may require some venue education

If a venue is open minded and willing to work with you to help create your ideal celebration we're more than happy to mail a sample of our eco confetti.

How is eco confetti different? Our eco confetti is made from rice paper and will dissolve immediately upon contact with water. The only clean up that is required is a single rainfall or a quick hose down of the area.

Need the best alternative to confetti?

Holi powder is a great alternative to confetti and will leave almost no trace of its use other than some coloured dust if not blown away by the wind, or as soon as it rains. Be sure not to use this near any naked flame.
We stock holi powder in Pink, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple & White colours.

If you're planning a wedding gender reveal, our gender reveal smoke cannons are an environmentally responsible option.
